Often, it is hard to find trustworthy local news that doesn't pull any punches. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, traditional news sites have started catering to local government officials and bureaucrats instead of calling them out when things are done unethically or unlawfully.

Here at the Alabama Examiner, we don't hold back; for that, we are outcasts in the traditional news media. But, we didn't start the Examiner to make friends. We started the Examiner to bring the facts, report the truth, and ensure the people of Alabama are aware of our elected and unelected officials' actions.
